The Crayons Melt Art || Beautiful Mess with Crayons

Throwback to 13th April (Thursday) where I was so bored at home & kept on looking for something to do. Then, this idea just came across my mind where I heard about crayon melts art before. So, without a second thought I immediately went to a bookshop in the shopping mall & started to hunt for some stuffs. Trust me, this is a really simple art where no drawing skills & painting experience are needed at all.

All you need are the materials & tools as per below:
1) Drawing paper (Size depends on how many crayons you're going to use).
2) Crayons (with minimum 24 crayons needed, preferably with different colours)
3) Glue gun / UHU /  Multipurpose glue (The more adhesive the better, which allows the crayons to stick still on your drawing paper.)
4) Cardboard
5) Hair dryer
6) Paper clips
7) Some old newspaper (As the crayons melt, they might stain on the floor. Some old newspaper will help to save time in clearing all the mess.)

The drawing paper that I used is in B4 size. If you wish to apply more crayon colours, you can use the drawing paper that is much bigger in size.
(P.s: A thicker drawing paper is highly recommended as when the crayons melts, the wax will damp your drawing paper.)

Start to apply some simple drawing on the paper. I chose to paint the characters in black is because when the crayons melt, the crayons' colours will show a contrast with the "shadow".

Once done, start to apply the permanent glue on the crayons & stick them in parallel (as shown in the diagram above).

The volumn of this permanent glue is only 7ml. Only 1 was ain't enough to stick all 24 crayons. You need at least 2 of it.

Once done gluing all the crayons on the drawing paper, use 2 paper clips to fix the drawing paper on the cardboard. Lay the cardboard on the wall and make it stands vertically. (Sorry to say that I forget to take photo of this process.)
NOTE: Remember to spread some newspaper on the floor before you start the melting process.

Now, here's the most excited part! Let the fun begin & enjoy the melting! In order to prevent the wax turns solid that fast, I chose to switch off the fan. ***Switch off the fan at your own risk, as you feel hot like hell!!! 😥😥😥***
Hold the hair dryer at the right position to ensure the crayons melt & flow in one direction (refer diagram above for the DO & DON'T).

Voila! Here's the outcome! It's a bit messy but I just love it! 💙💚💛
